About the campsite

Varkala is a coastal hamlet located at the outskirts of Trivandrum. With gorgeous cliff beaches & vibrant night life Varkala is fast becoming a must visit destination. Dotted by interesting cafes, seaside cliff view pubs, eateries, ayurvedic spas & a buzzing flea market, Varkala is fast becoming mini Goa. Sunset from quaint cafes', an after evening walk along the cliff & visit to the beaches are some of the must dos while in varkala.

This varkala experience has been designed in such a way that you get to experience almost all this beautiful town has to offer while you camp in a tiny, yet beautiful surfing school located just beside the beach. What's more you also get to visit Jatayu earth center, Thenmala dam etc. and also indulge in backwater kayaking & waterfalls dips.

Best Time to visit:

Please note: There are two packages
1) Starts from Tenkasi & ends at Tenkasi. You are required to reach Tenkasi by bus or train on your own & avail pick up.

2) You can also choose to directly come to varkala. To choose direct Varkala click book now & select 'Choose Budget Camp'. Itineraries varies slightly for both packages.

Cancellation Policy:

75% refund for all cancellations done 7 days before the date of stay
No refund for cancellations within 7 days from the date of stay
Booking dates cannot be transferred / rescheduled
Incase of govt. imposed lockdowns / Covid disruptions, option to reschedule booking to any other date within a year will be given. No refund will be issued.
Refunds if any will be credited to the source account in 7 working days

You can reach Tenkasi by Train / Bus & avail direct pick up to Varkala
There are direct trains to Varkala from Chennai, Bangalore & Hyderabad
One can also reach Trivandrum & from there take cabs / local buses (40 kms)

Varkala has always been a priority in my to-visit list for a long time now . And I must say it was an wonderful experience with the Exotic team!! It was an completely hassle free and super friendly trip with the team . You can blindly trust for your future trips!! Travellers (must say even solo women-travellers) can just book through them for a safe and memorable trip!
