Camping is an activity that takes you as far away from civilization & as close to nature as possible. Camp above the clouds - Vagamon does exactly that. It takes you right out of your cubicles, hectic city life, mundane routine and puts you right into Nature’s wonderland called Vagamon.

Vagamon, also called the Scotland of Asia is a gorgeous little hill station located in Idukki district of Kerala. With people frequenting even tiniest of the hill stations around us Vagamon comes as a breath of fresh air that still remains untouched.

Offering breathtaking views of the Western Ghats & the valley below; wake up within the idyllic serenity of the distant mountains & surreal sight of clouds below you. Situated 1:30 hours away from Kumily, you can spend your days exploring the nature trails leading to virgin streams or simply relax with a book as you soak up the fresh mountain air and tranquility of woods. - It’s a paradise for nature lovers.

Day 0

Night:

Van Pick-up
Get picked up from Chennai at 7.30 pm 30th evening by a tempo traveller (Only for people opting for transport). Campers will be fever checked before boarding

Day 1

Morning:

Waterfalls Visit
Reach Kumily, freshen-up, finish breakfast (on you) and start to a guided waterfalls visit (There are basic change rooms at the falls)

Noon:

Hiking
Post waterfalls dip, drive towards the base camp; check-out few view points en-route and reach base camp for lunch. Post lunch hike to the tent area.

Sunset Hike
Settle down into your tents, finish tea and take a stroll to a nearby peak for a fantabulous sunset

Night:

Campfire
Return from the hike, finish dinner and assemble for a fun filled campfire session over some music

Stargazing
Near zero light pollution and remoteness of the campsite allows for a great stargazing experience. Download Skymap / Sky View app and indulge in DIY stargazing. Follow stargazing with a small cake cutting session to usher in the New year

Day 2

Morning:

Check Out Wake up to a lazy morning tea, explore the campsite; click pics; finish breakfast and check-out from the campsite

Noon:

Vagamon Meadows Visit
Visit unique meadows of Vagamon & Pine forest and start your journey towards Kumily & Chennai from there

Cancellation Policy:

75% refund for all cancellations done 7 days before the date of stay
No refund for cancellations within 7 days from the date of stay
Booking dates cannot be transferred / rescheduled
Incase of govt. imposed lockdowns full refund minus 10% (GST + Service Charge) will be made
Refunds if any will be credited to the source account in 7 working days

Tent area has no electricity. It is advisable to carry a battery bank for charging phones.
Not suitable for elderly people.

Exoticamp facilitates transportation for campers' convenience in the wake of prevailing situation. We cannot be held responsible for any transportation related risks. Important Note: Boarding will be coordinated from Chennai by our team and our host will join at Kumily. Tranportation LIMITED TO 12 MEMBERS ONLY

Note: The package is designed for 3 sharing basis. If you are a couple please let us know earlier so we can allocate a twin sharing tent for free of cost. For others it would be on 3 sharis basis and if you wish to avail 2 sharing tent, it would be at an additional cost of Rs.250/person.

How to get here?

1) Drive to the campsite on your own (Assemble at Kumily & follow our convoy)
2) You can also avail transport arranged by us (Minibus/Van) from Chennai to Vagamon and back at Rs.3100/person (approx). Once camp booking is made our team will contact for transport booking.
3) You can also reach Kumily from Bangalore, Coimbatore, etc. by bus and avail jeep pickup to camp spot & back at Rs.600 (to and fro)

My first camping experience and that too during New year's. I am so so so happy that I took this decision of camping with Exoticamp. I generally don't do reviews but this camp deserves it! Vagamon is breathtakingly beautiful and the fact that i could enjoy the nature to it best was because of the superb facilities organized by Vijay and team. The host were so friendly and make u very comfortable in the very first day of camping. I could not have asked for a better start of 2019! This trip is more about relaxing in your own space and enjoying new year as you want and Exoticamp lets you do that. Thanks again guys. I am looking forward to go on more camps with you all as undoubtedly you are the best
