Tada Waterfalls, also called Ubbalamadugu Falls, is in the Nallamala Hills. This place is a peaceful location where people can relax away from the busy city life. The waterfall with crystal clear water creates a scenic backdrop for nature lovers & adventure enthusiasts.

Start by taking the Chennai-Kolkata Highway (NH 16) towards Nellore. Continue on NH 16 until you reach Tada town. From Tada town, follow the signs towards Tada Waterfalls/ Ubbalamadugu waterfalls. The Tada waterfall lies near the Tada village in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh.
Public Transportation:
Buses run by APSRTC connect Chennai and Tada town. From Tada town, you can hire a local taxi or auto-rickshaw to reach Tada Waterfalls.
Private Vehicle:
If traveling by car, you can follow the directions mentioned above. The journey typically takes around 2-3 hours, depending on traffic conditions and the starting point in Chennai. Approximately 2 kilometers before reaching the destination, you can park your vehicle at the Tada Falls parking area.
Trekking Route:
Once you reach the Tada village, there are trekking routes or trails leading to the Ubbalamadugu waterfalls. Ask locals or trekking experts for advice on the Tada falls trek route and needed permits or permissions.
Ensure you carry sufficient water, snacks, and necessary supplies for the Tada waterfalls trek.
Wear comfortable clothing and sturdy footwear suitable for trekking.

Visit Tada from October to February for the best time. It remains open all year, but we recommend those months. The water flow in Ubbalamadugu waterfalls is good during this time, making it a better experience for visitors.

Kailasakona Waterfalls is about 50 km from Tada Waterfalls. It has a 30-meter high waterfall surrounded by greenery.
Nagalapuram Waterfalls, also known as Sadhuvadu Waterfalls, lies near the Nagalapuram village, around 30 kilometers from Tada. This place has a beautiful waterfall which is located in the middle of a dense forest.
Pulicat Lake is also located approximately 70 kilometers from Tada waterfalls.
Avoid trekking during heavy rainfall or adverse weather conditions, as it can make the trails slippery and unsafe.

There are good hotels on the Chennai Kolkata Highway next to Sricity (Swarmukhi, Swathi Dhaba Etc). Once you take left from there aren't many good options
Unlike earlier, Tada waterfalls is now fully under the control of forest department and everything is well regulated.
Alcohol is strictly prohibited and the place is reasonably well maintained.
There are change rooms around the stream (set up by the forest) but they aren't in great condition.
There is a basic shop for water etc., just before you enter the falls. Do carry water & other refreshments
Contrary to the name you can't actually Trek up to the waterfalls. There are multiple smaller pools as you trek up and there is a large crystal clear stream right when you start the trek which is good for bathing
Reach early to avoid crowd especially during the weekends
The place is hot almost throughout the year. Carry cap / umbrella / sunscreen etc
If you are carrying infants you have to walk for close to 2 kms over Rocky terrain
The nearest railway station to Tads waterfalls is Gummidipundi from where a taxi can be taken to reach Tada falls.
