Your journey begins with some truly breathtaking views. As you drive toward Sela Pass, located at a high altitude (approximately 13,000 ft above sea level), you’ll be surrounded by snow-capped mountains, frozen rivers, and the picture-perfect Sela Lake.
A short halt near Jung gives you a chance to enjoy the stunning Jung Waterfalls an absolute treat for travellers who love raw natural beauty.
An unforgettable visit to the Indo-China border awaits you at Bum La Pass, known for its amazing views and high-altitude landscape. You'll then continue to the surreal Madhuri Lake. It’s a peaceful turquoise wonder whose glassy waters are framed by tree trunks and gentle hills.
One of the most spiritually enriching stops on the tour is the iconic Tawang monastery, full of peace and chanting monks. You’ll also visit local villages, the war memorial, including the Jaswantgarh War Memorial, and charming craft centres, soaking in the spiritual and historic side.
Then comes the highlight for wildlife lovers: Kaziranga National Park. Recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this national park is home to the famous one-horned rhinoceros, wild buffalo, deer, and more. You’ll ride through its vast grasslands on a jeep safari, getting close to these wild animals.

09:00 AM – Transfer
We will receive you at the Guwahati Airport and begin our scenic drive to Bomdila, one of the two major stopovers on the Tawang circuit. Nestled at 2,530m, Bomdila greets you with crisp alpine air, rolling Himalayan landscapes, and peaceful monasteries.
On the way, we will stop at Bhairabkund (if time and weather permit), located at the tri-junction of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, and Bhutan. We may also visit the beautiful Chillipam Gompa in Rupa. In case we take an alternative route due to traffic or weather, these may be skipped.
Upon reaching Bomdila, we will check you into your homestay. After the long yet refreshing drive, you’re free to enjoy a short walk around the town.
09:00 AM – Sela Pass & Jung Waterfalls Visit
After breakfast, we will drive toward Tawang. This stretch of the journey is breathtaking, with stops at Sela Pass, the serene Jaswantgarh Memorial, and the roaring Jung Waterfall. Once we reach Tawang, we will check into your homestay so you can unwind and settle in.
09:00 AM – Bumla & Madhuri Lake Visit
On the third day, after breakfast, we'll take you out for a full-day excursion to the Indo-China border at Bumla Pass and the iconic Madhuri Lake. This high-altitude journey offers dramatic terrain, pristine waters, and unforgettable views.
09:00 AM -Tawang Monastery Visit
We will spend the morning exploring Tawang’s significant cultural and historical landmarks. The legendary Tawang Monastery founded in 1681 and the largest Buddhist monastery in India forms the heart of this ancient town.
We will also take you to Ani Gompa, the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama, giant Buddha statues, and the war cemetery. After sightseeing, we’ll drive toward Dirang, stopping by the relaxing hot spring on the way. In the evening, we will visit Dirang Monastery if time permits.
After breakfast, you will take an easy hike in Sangti Valley to a serene hilltop temple. The trail passes through a charming village lined with pine trees, kiwi gardens, and lush fields. If you prefer not to hike, a gentle village walk is equally rewarding.
After breakfast, we will begin our beautiful drive from Sangti Valley to Kaziranga. Keep your eyes open. You may spot wildlife along the way. On arrival, we will check you into a comfortable hotel for the night.
09:00 AM – Safari & Transfer
We head for an exciting Jeep Safari inside Kaziranga National Park to spot rhinos, elephants, and more after breakfast. After the safari, we will return to the hotel, check out, and drive back to Guwahati. We will drop you at the Guwahati Airport for your onward journey.
