With summer kicking in & a long weekend approaching there is a craving to escape the heat of the plains and spend your long weekend in a cooler mountain retreat. Presenting Mountain & Lake Camping Vacation in Munnar.

We would be camping in two fantastic campsites in the higher ranges of Munnar. A unique, picturesque lake campsite & a breathtaking mountain top campsite

About Campsite 1: Elephant lake Camping

The campsite is located on the banks of beautiful lake set against the backdrop of rolling tea plantations, shola forests & mountain peaks. This breathtaking campsite also houses tree houses. The tents are set on high raised wooden platforms with private patios (smaller balconies), allowing campers savor the panoramic view with ample privacy. Offering spectacular views & surrounded water, this Munnar tent stay serves as a relaxing retreat.

About Campsite 2: Wild Munnar Campsite

The campsite is located just below Meeshapulimala (one of the highest peaks). Perched amidst forests & tea estates; this breathtaking campsite overlooks Kolukumalai - India's highest organic tea estate. Offering spectacular views of dense sholas & deep valleys and often surrounded by mist, this Munnar tent stay is a treat to your eyes.

Across these three days we'd be going on hikes, enjoy campfire under cold munnar night sky, spotting birds & wildlife, go on off-road jeep rides & have a whole lot of fun. What's more we would be visiting a secret river in Theni for a refreshing village style bathing right at the beginning of the trip.

Day 1

Morning:

Start
Assemble at Theni, freshen-up & proceed to the campsite. (This is for people opting transport. Others can directly reach campsite. Location will be shared along with booking email)

Noon:

Jeep Safari.
Finish lunch on the way and reach base camp of Elephant lake Campsite. Hop into a jeep for a thrilling off-road drive to the campsite

Hiking
Get your tents allocated, finish welcome drink and go on an evening hike

Night:

Campfire
Return from the hike, have black-tea and settle down for a campfire session. Post campfire finish dinner

Stargazing
Climb up one of the tree-top platforms at the campsite and enjoy gazing at the stars

Day 2

Morning:

Nature Walk
Wake-up finish tea and go on an easy paced nature walk around the campsite

Noon:

Check Out Check-out and proceed to the next campsite. Finish lunch at Munnar Town

Hiking
Reach basecamp of our Wild Munnar campsite & start hiking through Shola Forests & tea plantation to the campsite

Bird Spotting
Lie-down on our cliff hammock / viewing platform and watch sunset. You could also take a stroll to spot some native birds

Night:

Campfire
Assemble for a magical campfire session followed by non-veg bbq and yummy dinner

Stargazing
Post campfire & dinner, the night is all yours. Chit chat with fellow campers, stargaze or just relax

Day 3

Morning:

Sunrise Hike
Wake-up early, finish black tea and go on a magical sunrise hike to a nearby peak

Noon:

Check Out Return from the hike, finish breakfast and check-out by noon

Sight Seeing
Hike back to the base camp, visit munnar town & other attractions closeby and proceed back to Theni with fond memories

Note: There is a 3 Kms hike through tea plantation & jungle to get to the campsite on Day 2. It would be an easy paced walk & could be done by almost everyone.

Cancellation Policy:

75% refund for all cancellations done 7 days before the date of stay
No refund for cancellations within 7 days from the date of stay
Booking dates cannot be transferred / rescheduled
Incase of govt. imposed lockdowns / Covid disruptions, option to reschedule booking to any other date within a year will be given. No refund will be issued
Refunds if any will be credited to the source account in 7 working days

How to get here?

1) Reach Theni by bus from Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, etc., and avail jeep transport at 1260/seat
2) Travel end to end on your own by car/bike (location will be shared)
3) Avail end-to-end transport from Chennai to Chennai at an additional cost of 3675/person

Best trip this is my solo trip as a girl i was afraid of trying it but exotic camp has made it easy every one were so sweet and friendly i felt very comfortable with everyone All the places were so good especially second camp was amazing with scenic views Star gazing is amazing and the hosts were very friendly and shared many information The food was good all over i had very great experience returned with so many memories and friends Thank you exotic camp for hosting such an amazing trip I would love to recommend everyone to visit this amazing place ????????????

Pros- All the staffs are Friendly Food is good Cons- No hotel for refreshing while coming from Chennai and asked to use highway restrooms Sunrise trek was taken only after sun rise which is poor.
