Imagine a setting of cloud-kissed mountains, thick shola forest, rolling velvety meadows, distant deep valleys and sprawling pear orchards, far far away from civilization. Now place a tent, put a blanket of stars on it, and add a super cold night, a campfire & few like-minded people. Sounds like a dream isn't it?

Presenting The Pear Orchard Camp - Kodaikanal. Eject yourself from the chaotic city life and land in the lap of nature at the ever- beautiful Kodai hills. Located at 7k ft above Sea level and far away from the mainstream touristy Kodai 'The Pear Orchard Camp' introduces a Delightful new side of Kodai which remains untouched till today. Located 45 mins away from Kodai town spend your weekend in complete tranquillity going on short hikes, catching breath-taking sunset & taking gentle stroll through the vast Pear Orchard

The camp also boasts of Carrots, Potatoes, Cauliflower & butter beans farm and the produce of which will be served for two days. This camp will be a soother for all the mechanized souls.

Day 1

Morning:

Check In Reach base camp by 11.00 am, park your vehicle and start hiking to the campsite. You could also take the jeep to the campsite

Noon:

Pear Picking
Reach the campsite, finish lunch, relax for a bit, take a tour of the campsite and indulge in some pear picking & tasting. (Seasonal)

Sunset Hike
Come evening, go on an enthralling sunset hike

Night:

Campfire
Return from the hike, finish tea and assemble for a magic campfire session under the carpet of a billion stars

Stargazing
Post campfire, finish dinner, lay down on the grass bank and indulge in DIY stargazing through the Sky Map / Sky View app. Zero light pollution & crisp sky make for a magical stargazing experience

Day 2

Morning:

Wildlife Spotting
Wake up, freshen up, finish morning tea and take a walk around the campsite to spotting some endemic birds and wildlife (Indian Gaur, Sambar Deer, Wild Boar, Wild Dogs etc)

Noon:

Waterfalls Visit
Finish breakfast & hike down to the parking area and drive to a private hidden waterfalls

Noon:

Check Out Post waterfalls fun, check-out and self explore Kodai hills.

Lake Visit
On your way back, visit the beautiful Mannavanur, Kookal Lake (Self Explore - Location will be shared)

Cancellation Policy:

75% refund for all cancellations done 7 days before the date of stay
No refund for cancellations within 7 days from the date of stay
Booking dates cannot be transferred / rescheduled
In case of govt. imposed lockdowns / Covid disruptions, an option to reschedule booking to any other date within a year will be given. No refund will be issued.
Refunds if any will be credited to the source account in 7 working days

Important Note:

The campsite could only be accessed by an off road Jeep from the base camp or by hiking (1.5 hrs). The campsite is set amidst absolute wilderness (a private pear orchard) & features only basic amenities. There is no electricity & intermittent mobile signal. If you are a luxury seeker, this is not the campsite.

How to get here?

Campsite is located in Poombarai Village (30 Kms from Kodaikanal). Local bus from Kodai available.
There are buses to Kodai from Chennai, Bangalore, Coimbatore & other major southern towns.
From Kodaikanal cab/Suv pick up could be arranged at an additional cost.
Nearest railway station is Kodai Road and from there, there are frequent govt buses & cabs to Kodaikanal (3 - 4 hrs drive)
