About the campsite

Presenting Nilgiris Wilderness Camping! The campsite is located in a quiet little part of Nilgiris which remains largely unexplored till this day. Perched at an altitude of 1900 meters campsite offers a breathtaking panoramic view of Moyar Valley, Rangaswamy Peak & Bhavani Sagar Dam. Set atop a tea plantation you can spend your weekend exploring tribal settlements, bathing in ice cold waterfalls, taking dips in forest streams, following quieter trails leading to beautiful view points and enjoying a cold night under the stars in a tent.

Day 1

Noon:

Check In Start from Coimbatore (if you opt for transport) reach campsite for lunch. Check into the campsite at 12.30 PM. Enjoy a hearty lunch at the campsite.

Hiking
Embark on a hiking adventure, exploring three different terrains. Take in the breathtaking scenery before returning to the campsite.

Relax
Indulge in some delicious snacks and unwind with leisure time.

Night:

Telescope Stargazing
Indulge in stargazing session through telescope (Subject to clear weather). Near Zero light pollution & higher altitude make for a brilliant experience

Campfire
Have dinner and get ready for a session of campfire and retire into your tents

Day 2

Morning:

Morning Sunrise
Wake up to a cold morning and breathtaking sunrise view from your tent spot, freshen up, finish your morning tea and breakfast

River Visit
Checkout at 10:00 am, and Explore a nearby river stream with host guidance

Important Info:

1. Please arrive and check in before 5:00 PM. We won't accommodate late check-ins.
2. You will need to hike 400-meter to reach the campsite from the check-in point.

3. Only Veg Food served owing to local restrictions, The pathway to the campsite is a little steep hence may not be suitable for elders

Cancellation Policy:

75% refund for all cancellations done 7 days before the date of stay
No refund for cancellations within 7 days from the date of stay
Booking dates cannot be transferred / rescheduled
Incase of govt. imposed lockdowns / Covid disruptions, option to reschedule booking to any other date within a year will be given. No refund will be issued.
Refunds if any will be credited to the source account in 7 working days

How to get here?

1) Drive down to assembly point, We shall share the location.
2) Reach Mettupalayam (Train tickets available) and we can arrange for a private car pickup for you at an actual cost which you can pay directly to the travels. Should be around Rs.800-950 for the round trip.
3) From Coimbatore we can arrange Suv/car at 8k,6k respectively and can be shared by the participants.

Living the hustle and bustle of Chennai traffic can be tiresome. Thanks to Exoticamp I got the chance to get away from the mundane and enjoy two days of adventure and fun. The memories and the people I met with are gonna stay with me forever. As a solo traveler I felt at ease and enjoyed the most of what this trip had to offer. I am really glad for the split second decision because I have innumerable memories that I will never part with. I would recommend this is to any traveler who enjoys thrilling hikes and spectacular views. And thanks to Lakshmi and Gayathri for hosting us.
