Camping is an activity that takes you as far away from civilization & as close to nature as possible. Camp above the clouds - Vagamon does exactly that. It takes you right out of your cubicles, hectic city life, mundane routine and puts you right into Nature’s wonderland called Vagamon.

Vagamon, also called the Scotland of Asia is a gorgeous little hill station located in Idukki district of Kerala. With people frequenting even tiniest of the hill stations around us Vagamon comes as a breath of fresh air that still remains untouched.

Offering breathtaking views of the Western Ghats & the valley below; wake up within the idyllic serenity of the distant mountains & surreal sight of clouds below you. Situated 1:30 hours away from Kumily, you can spend your days exploring the nature trails leading to virgin streams or simply relax with a book as you soak up the fresh mountain air and tranquility of woods. - It’s a paradise for nature lovers.

Day 1

Morning:

Waterfalls Visit
Reach Kumily & get picked up by Jeep at 9.30 am and head to a Waterfalls for a refreshing dip (If you are coming by your own transport, this is a self-explore activity & location will be shared)

Noon:

Hiking
Post waterfalls dip, drive towards the base camp; check-out few view points en-route and reach base camp for lunch. Post lunch hike to the tent area.

Sunset Hike
Settle into your tents, explore the campsite & start for a sunset hike to a nearby peak (1.5 kms)

Night:

Campfire
Return from the hike, finish dinner and assemble for a fun filled campfire session

Stargazing
Post campfire finish dinner & indulge in a magical DIY stargazing experience. This would be a self-taught experience through Sky Map / Sky View app

Day 2

Morning:

Check Out Wake up to a lazy morning tea, explore the campsite; click pics; finish breakfast and check-out from the campsite

Vagamon Meadows Visit
Visit one of the most unique landscapes of South India - Vagamon Meadows. This would be a self-explore activity if you are travelling using your own mode of transport.

Check Out Head to Vagamon Pine forest to click photographs. And from there return to your respective destinations

Cancellation Policy:

75% refund for all cancellations done 7 days before the date of stay
No refund for cancellations within 7 days from the date of stay
Booking dates cannot be transferred / rescheduled
In case of govt. imposed lockdowns / Covid disruptions, an option to reschedule booking to any other date within a year will be given. No refund will be issued.
Refunds if any will be credited to the source account in 7 working days

Tent area has no electricity. It is advisable to carry a battery bank for charging phones.
Not suitable for elderly people.

How to get here?

1) Drive to the campsite on your own bike / car. We will share the location.
2) You can also reach Kumily from Bangalore, Coimbatore, etc, by bus and avail jeep pickup to the camp spot & back at Rs. 5200/jeep (A jeep could accommodate 8 ppl)
3) Nearest Railway Station is Kottayam. From there Jeeps could be availed (Reach-out to camp host for assistance)

My first camping experience and that too during New year's. I am so so so happy that I took this decision of camping with Exoticamp. I generally don't do reviews but this camp deserves it! Vagamon is breathtakingly beautiful and the fact that i could enjoy the nature to it best was because of the superb facilities organized by Vijay and team. The host were so friendly and make u very comfortable in the very first day of camping. I could not have asked for a better start of 2019! This trip is more about relaxing in your own space and enjoying new year as you want and Exoticamp lets you do that. Thanks again guys. I am looking forward to go on more camps with you all as undoubtedly you are the best

The trip started out to be great. The waterfalls visit was really good. The problem began at night when the dj started to play blaring songs till 2 am in the night. I wanted to experience peace and silence amidst nature. I was not there to party. If I wanted to party I would've remained in Bangalore, cause what's better place than it. Also the bonfire didn't start uptill 12 am. Overall I was very much disappointed. The stargazing was not at all possible from the campsite because of so many lights and light pollution. What's the use of SkyViewer apps if I can't see sky clearly. Things can be better.
