About the campsite

Located on the northern bank of River Kollidam - (Cauvery's Tributary) & tucked away into the backwaters & mangrove forests, the campsite is a part of Pichavaram Mangrove Wetland Ecosystem.

Spend your weekend camping on the banks of backwater and explore the wilderness of river Kollidam by kayaking. Learn Kayaking from international certified kayaking instructors & kayak your way to glory exploring the 20 kms backwater stretch of river Kollidam.

What's more! The campsite is devoid of any light pollution and perfect for a breathtaking stargazing experience and night sky photography. The camp is also home to a variety of birds and is a bird lovers' paradise.

Day 1

Noon:

Kayaking
Check-in at 2.30 PM. High-tea & Snacks on arrival. Start Discover Kayaking Session. Learn Balance, Different Strokes, Board Handling, Control and Maneuvers. And head out for a kayaking expedition along River Kollidam.

Night:

Campfire
Post Kayaking session freshen up & assemble for a Campfire session followed by dinner

Stargazing
Near Zero light pollution at the campsite makes for a great stargazing experience. Download Skymap app and indulge in DIY stargazing

Day 2

Morning:

Sunrise Kayaking
Wake-up, finish tea, go for an Sunrise Kayaking program (additional cost 750) or Relax in the campsite and checkout at 10:30am for Beach Visit.

Morning:

Beach Visit
Check-out from the campsite at 10.30 am & visit an unpolluted beach on your way back. Beach Visit is a self-explore activity & our host will provide the exact location. You have to drive / use your own mode of transport to reach the beach.

Best Time to visit:

Cancellation Policy:

75% refund for all cancellations done 7 days before the date of stay
No refund for cancellations within 7 days from the date of stay
Booking dates cannot be transferred / rescheduled
Incase of govt. imposed lockdowns / Covid disruptions, option to reschedule booking to any other date within a year will be given. No refund will be issued.
Refunds if any will be credited to the source account in 7 working days

How to get here?

Campsite is accessible by Cars & Two Wheelers. There is ample parking space.
People taking public transport can
1) Take a Bus / Train from Chennai to Chidambaram & Take a rick from Chidambaram (20 mins ride and Rick contact can be shared)
2) Reach Pondy, take bus to Chidambaram and from Chidambaram take a rick to the campsite.
3) For group booking we can arrange a transportation at additional cost.
