Have you ever trekked through massive cracks in hillocks? If not, get ready for an unforgettable adventure at Puligundu Rock Mountain. Located just 150 kilometers from Chennai near Chittoor, this destination boasts near-vertical twin rock hillocks that promise an adrenaline-fueled escapade. As you embark on this thrilling journey, prepare to navigate through cracks, crawl through near-dark tunnel formations, conquer vertical stair climbs, and cross precariously placed iron bridges. But fear not, the breath-taking view from the top makes every challenge worthwhile. Suitable for all skill levels, this trek offers a once-in-a-lifetime climbing experience. And that's not all – brace yourself for a spine-chilling rappelling session that will leave you exhilarated and craving more adventure.

That's not all! From Puligundu you'd be heading out to our campsite in Nagalapuram for a fun filled camping & stargazing experience. And a short trek to the famous Aare falls the following morning.

Day 1

Morning:

Transfer
Start from Chennai early and arrive at the Puligundu assembly point by 9:00 AM. You can choose to drive on your own or opt for our Van pick-up at an added cost

Hiking
Enjoy a welcome drink and get ready for a guided trek to the Pulingundu hilltop, walking through steps and rocky mountains.

Hiking
Take photos for Insta and explore the hanging bridge that connects two mountains of the Pulingundu hills.

Noon:

Rappeling
Take a break to relax, then experience thrilling rappelling on the way back, ensuring all safety measures are in place.

Start
Enjoy lunch at the base point before driving to our Aare Falls campsite (Location will be shared).

Check In Check-in to the campsite at 4.00 pm & get your tents allocated

Outdoor Games
Indulge in light outdoor games like archery, slacklining etc followed by tea & snacks

Night:

Stargazing
Indulge in stargazing session through telescope (Subject to clear weather)

Campfire
Enjoy the campfire under the stars followed by dinner

Night Hike
Post dinner go on a short night walk around the campsite

Day 2

Morning:

Waterfalls Visit
Wake-up early and go on a guided trek to Aare falls with lifejackets. Enjoy refreshing dips in the multiple natural pools. Click pics for insta :) and Packed Breakfast served at the falls, return to the campsite for lunch

Check Out Have Lunch, laze around the campsite for sometime and check-out at 1.30 pm with fond memories

Important Info

Puligundu trek is doable by all. Overall trek duration would be 40-50 mins.
Note: Rappelling is only allowed for individuals aged 10 and above.

About the campsite:
Campsite at Aare is a rustic, basic campsite. Amenities are simple but adequate for campers. There are proper restrooms with water & basic electricity. Families need to consider this before making the booking. The campsite is women & child friendly.

Good walking shoes for the trek.
Must bring Torch light for better visibility when it's dark.

Reach the Assembly point at Pulingundu - 9:00 AM on Day 1 if driving on your own. If opting for pick-up it would be at 5.00 am

75% refund for all cancellations done 7 days before the date of stay
No refund for cancellations within 7 days from the date of stay
Booking dates cannot be transferred / rescheduled
In case of govt. imposed lockdowns / Covid disruptions, an option to reschedule booking to any other date within a year will be given. No refund will be issued.
Refunds if any will be credited to the source account in 7 working days

Finished the Puligundu Hills & Aare camping on 24th &25th February. Was a wonderful experience in Puligundu Hills, led by trained and certified professionals. Mr. Srinivasan & his team at Aare Base camp were very friendly and courteous. Trekking to the Aare falls was easy and fun. The whole trip was well planned and organised by Exoticamp. Special thanks to Rohit, Suresh, Srinivasan & his team for a memorable experience.
